The Bible verse on back of the book cover for LOVE IN THE WIND says “Love one another.” – John 15:
Maddie and her sailing crew are training for a big sailboat race. One that could take them places—bigger regional and national races. They have to work together so well they are like a well-oiled machine—to use the cliché. They don’t have to think about what they’re doing.
On the sailboat, they respond and react to everything as one.
As one. In unity.
What does that make you think of? What the body of Christ should look like? Jesus prayed for unity among the believers and that we would love each other. Why?
“Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” John 17:23
So the world will know.
Image if we truly loved each other, every act was done in love, every word spoken in love, how different the world would be. I struggle with loving when I don’t feel like it, too, but there is always hope.
And there is always forgiveness.
There is always another second chance.
I pray that we each find new ways to love.
Blessings!
