Wanted to announce an interview with me on the Aficionado Ezine. I’m excited to announce that I’ve also got an interview coming up over at Novel Journey. I’ll let you know when. My website is in transition right now–so I hope I can get that up and running in time. Blessings!Beth
CSFF Blog Tour: Sharon Hinck
“Mark,” I whispered, tugging his sleeve so he’d lean down, “why all this empty space?” In this very funtctional and practical world, the extravagance and luxury were a startling contrast. Mark put his mouth so close to my ear that his words tickled. “It’s to leave room for the One. This is where we welcome Him.” God, how can you make me feel so hungry and so full at the same time? And why do I want to run toward you when I also want to run away? The above lines from The Restorer–just some of the reasons I love …
Wrapping things up
A quick announcement. The winner of the contest (of sorts) is Momofkings! Momofkings, leave me you email address in a comment and I will contact you to find out what book you want.Congratulations!
CSFF Blog Tour Day 3: ROTGK
Click on the image above to link to Amazon if you’d like to purchase the Return of the Guardian King. Unfortunately, I don’t have the review for the Shadow Within–which was my favorite of all the books–but it was really close because I love them all. I’m stepping out of the discussion focused on ROTGK and the series to post my review of Arena from several years ago, if that’s all right with you. Also, you have until the end of today. . .oops, that’s almost here. . .5 p.m. pacific time to enter the contest. I will try to …
CSFF Blog Tour: ROTGK
Welcome bloggers! Scroll down to yesterday’s post to read instructions for posting regarding the contest (of sorts). Of course, you’re welcome to post comments unrelated to the contest (of sorts)! As promised I’m posting a review of at least one of Karen’s previous books in the series. Alas,I ‘m lamenting because I can’t find my review of her first book in the series, written several years ago, Light of Eidon. This makes no sense to me because I did, in fact, review Arena, which came out before Light of Eidon. I’m hoping to post that review tomorrow. I’m also still …
CSFF Blog Tour: Randy Ingermanson’s Double Vision
Randy Ingermanson is one of my favorites authors. I can’t wait to see something new from him. Oxygen was the first review I wrote and in a way, started my “writing career.” I love Randy’s writing and his characters and I consider him my “absentee mentor.” Isn’t that what Karen Hancock calls Dean Koontz? Her absentee mentor? I may have that name wrong. But you get what I’m saying. Double Vision was definitely a fun read, especially after reading his Retribution–a very life-changing tale about forgiveness. (I think next to the Bible, Retribution should be required reading for every Christian). …
Where the Map Ends
Or maybe I should have titled this Blog Interrupted. Sick children have prevented me from saying as much as I’d love to say about this site. I will say this. I will be turning to Jeff Gerke for his editorial services with my next proposal. If you’re not considering this, I strongly urge you to consult with Jeff, getting his expert opinion. You can learn more here. Blessings!Beth.
CSFF Blog Tour: Where the Map Ends
WhereTheMapEnds.comis the one of the best sites offering tips to aspiring writers, informative interviews and insight into the mind of Jeff Gerke, a.k.a., Jefferson Scott. I apologize that I’m behind in getting this post out, though I’m certain with so many participants there is already plenty to read about one of our favorites–editor and author Jeff Gerke. I’m subscribed to the newsletter. So I received some fascinating video footage–again as a subscriber to the WheretheMapEnds.com newsletter–called Venusian Beauties–sort of reminiscent of Flash Gordon. I ask you, Jeff Gerke, where is the Queen soundtrack? The music was everything in Flash Gordon! …
To blog or not. .
Seems like I’ve had a post with that title before and right now, I’m too tired (or is it too lazy) to go back through the archives. Ages have gone by since I’ve posted anything other than the CSFF blog tour. BTW, there is another tour coming up next week featuring Jeff Gerke’s Where the Map Ends website. This is my opportunity to bring up the fact that I’m blogging today over at Keep Me IN Suspense. Jeff is also a contributor to that blog. I’ve made some changes this year, cutting back on the blogs I contribute to so …
CSFF Blog Tour: Wayne Thomas Batson
There are so many GREAT posts out there filled with interviews galore and book reviews! Yikes. What new thing can I say? I’ve spent quite some time exploring the internet for something new and interesting. The story is a very accurate analogy of the Christian faith and the price of belief. Yes, it comes with a price. Every young person should read this book. It explains better than anything the betrayal of Christ and the cost and rewards of following Him. This is the last line of a review I came across at here and it caught my attention, of …
